So many people, especially after the plandemic, suffer the very real existential stress of poverty or chronic debt. In this case, hiring a ‘life coach’ or expensive therapist is simply not an option. In late-stage capitalism that normalizes scarcity, chronic fight or flight is pervasive. What modern ‘therapy’ dispenses are coping strategies, not optimization strategies...?!

As Krishnamurti observed, “It is no measure of health to be well-adjusted to a profoundly sick society!”

You are right. But the day we change our healthcare system:

1. So alternative therapists like me are accepted there are better help.

2. The tax can be used to traumahealing (In many countries there is a fine welfare system...until now)

3. We are open for so many other ways to heal. eg. in groups. Some of my tools works well in groups.. Like this: https://youtu.be/3JLugqjn3o8

Thanks for your reply Lilian. I really enjoyed listening to your interview. I have successfully addressed trauma with Somatic Experiencing, EMDR, tapping, vagus nerve therapies, and craniosacral therapies, among others. I’m already convinced that untreated trauma is a source of most dysfunction in modern humans, manifesting in myriad ways.

I too wish that the so-called health care system would evolve. Since western medicine is being currently revealed to be an egregious failure, especially during covid, maybe viable alternatives will be made more prominent?!

We can hope!

We vote with our feet and our money. Can you maybe challenge your insurance company to cover alternative therapies? If you can move to find doctors that support alternative thinkin. that is were we must go.

I once calculated that every time I have a person with Parkinson's that I treat to the extent that they eighter reduce pills (younger person) or stop pills (older person). I save the Danish tax system about 15.000 us dollars (rest of their life), because they do not have to give the "discount" in pill payment. And this calculation does not include doctores, neurologists etc.

Great interview. Thanks for doing this, and for the mentions. I will restack this now, and cross-post to my subscribers in a couple of days when there is gap in the schedule. Interesting on the Block Therapy, I will also share this Deanna, the inventor of BT. Can you point me to where you have spoken about it before?

Thanks for the intro Gary! Really appreciate the support. I don’t know that I’ve spoken about Block Therapy publicly anywhere else, just in private. But I would love to have Deanna on the podcast as well.
