How many of us have asserted that something is “unconstitutional” at some point in our lives? And yet, when was the last time you perused our founding documents? Since this month’s article was about our collective mind fitness as a nation, I think giving us an assignment in civics is appropriate. Read the Constitution. If you are not from the United States, do the same exercise with whatever analog exists in your country.
For Americans, you can easily read the entire document in one sitting. The only encumbrance is the archaic and formal language, which can make parts challenging to comprehend. Therefore, I highly recommend using Ben Sheehan’s fantastic OMG WTF Does the Constitution Actually Say? as a compendium. It’s funny, translates everything into simple terms, and gives historical context when needed.
One of our detrimental tendencies as a species is waxing lyrically on topics with little or no expertise. My intent with this month’s book recommendation is to remind us that we should study something before offering up an opinion on it. A dose of education combined with humility is a healthy prescription for anyone.

Well my intent with RARE SENSE was never to make it about politics. I actually hesitated to publish July's article and book recommendation for that very reason. The point I was trying to reinforce is that we need to learn to work together better and also be better educated on topics we tend to offer opinions on with very little knowledge.
Well the first step to getting ethical people into office is to elect them. If actual laws are being broken by government officials they should be subject to prosecution just like anyone else. Which specific examples are you referencing?

Another question is How do We the People get our elected officials to uphold the Laws of our Constitution????
